    The General Counsel Division is seeking a Special Assistant and Coordinator, who will be responsible for coordinating legal and non-legal projects, analyzing processes and procedures, and devising strategies for increased efficiency, and generally tracking and moving the work of the General Counsel Division. This person will also be responsible for coordinating the schedules of the General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel. The ideal candidate has experience working with attorneys, juggling multiple priorities, and working independently and as part of a team. The position includes ad hoc administrative tasks, as necessary.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    - Research and draft documents such as correspondence, memoranda, invoices, protocols, and procedures;

     

    - Perform investigations and fact-finding for projects overseen by the General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel;

     

    - Coordinate and schedule travel, meetings, and appointments for the General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel;

     

    - Prepare agendas, schedules, and reports for meetings and presentations; record and distribute minutes or other records for meetings;

     

    - Retrieve information, as requested, from records, email, minutes, and other related documents; prepare written summaries of data when needed;

     

    - Assist with divisional operations like budget planning, recruitment and onboarding, and staff trainings;

     

    - Provide back-up support for the external audit process;

     

    - Help resolve and respond to administrative inquires and questions;

     

    - Manage document systems and organization, including administrative records in coordination with Law Department;

     

    - System evaluation and optimization; and

     

    - Lead ad hoc projects at the direction of the General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel.

    Qualifications

    Qualification Requirements

    A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.

     

    Skills Requirement

     

    Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.

    Salary Min: $ 46,503.00
