Job Summary and Qualifications
+ As the Director of Acute and Critical Care, you will be responsible for the overall quality and operational activities of Ortho Trauma, PCU, ICU, and Surgical Telemetry departments.
+ You will ensure the planning, directing, controlling and evaluation of the departments and hospital operations related to these departments.
+ You will perform responsibilities in accordance with hospital goals, objectives, policies and procedures.
+ You will be responsible for the clinical, operational and financial management of the departments.
+ You will ensure appropriate clinical standards; policies and procedures are developed and implemented.
+ You will develop and review monitoring activities related to the quality of nursing care provided.
+ You will ensure compliance with all regulatory and accrediting agencies.
+ You will oversee the unit’s operation to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of care and to maximize patient, physician, and employee satisfaction.
+ You will manage the unit in accordance with established financial guidelines.
What qualifications you will need:
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
+ Current RN license to practice in the state of Texas.
+ BLS certification from approved HCA vendor.
+ Professional Nursing Certification.
Education:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
+ Master’s degree preferred or currently enrolled in a Master’s program and must complete within 2 years of entering position.
Experience:
+ 2 years of experience as a staff nurse in a hospital setting.
+ Minimum 1 year of management/supervisory experience.
