As a **Security Officer - Armed Government Facility Patrols** in **Hialeah, FL** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer serving a dynamic government location. In this role, you will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This position requires both armed and driving responsibilities. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.

+ Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas as required by site-specific protocols.

+ Document and report all observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.

+ Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behaviors and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.

+ Operate communication devices and/or security-related technology to support patrol and response activities as necessary for the location.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent is required.

+ One or more of the following is required: at least one year of law enforcement experience, at least two years of security supervisor or manager experience, or at least three years of security-related experience.

+ An armed guard card or license is required.

+ A college degree is required.

+ Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.

+ Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ A corrections officer license is required.

+ One or more of the following is required: DD214 with honorable discharge, associate degree or 60 college credits, police academy certificate, or corrections academy certificate.

+ A law enforcement officer license is required.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
