As a **Security Officer - Chemical Access Monitor** in **La Porte, TX** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at chemical or petrochemical locations.

+ Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain records of all personnel and/or vehicles entering and leaving the premises.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical or petrochemical environments.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter security-related risks and identify potential hazards specific to chemical or petrochemical locations.

+ Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to report and document security-related incidents and observations.

+ Assist in implementing site-specific security-related procedures, including visitor and contractor management, in accordance with location requirements.

+ Support emergency response efforts by following site protocols and coordinating with local emergency services as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

+ A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.

+ A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.

+ A guard card or license is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
