As a **Security Officer - Education Lobby Desk** in **Philadelphia, PA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will create a welcoming first point of contact while helping to deter security-related incidents. You will monitor access, assist visitors, and respond to inquiries, all while delivering outstanding customer service. By maintaining a visible presence and utilizing technology, you will support a secure and positive environment for everyone entering the facility.

What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and guests by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.

+ Monitor access to the location and verify identification as required.

+ Respond to incidents and/or critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner.

+ Assist with visitor management, including logging and directing guests as needed.

+ Communicate professionally with all individuals at the location, addressing inquiries and providing information as appropriate.

+ Support emergency response activities at the front desk according to established protocols.

+ Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or concerns to appropriate personnel and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.

+ Alarm panel experience is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
