As a **Security Officer – Armed Telecom Patrol** in **Austin, TX** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing armed patrol protocols as required by the post profile.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.

+ Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious behavior in a tech, media, and telecom environment.

+ Complete detailed reports and logs related to security-related incidents, patrols, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

+ Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when necessary to address incidents or emergencies.

+ Remain alert to potential threats or hazards and communicate concerns to the appropriate Allied Universal and/or client contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Access control or badge experience is preferred.

+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Alarm panel experience is preferred.

+ CPR certification is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
