    Jennifer Fukumae with Robert Half Financial Services is partnering with a top-performing, early-stage venture capital firm (~$2.5B AUM) on a confidential search for a Controller to join its growing finance team.

     

    This Bay Area–based venture capital firm invests in technical founders from seed through early growth and has built a strong performance track record across multiple fund vintages. Having recently raised its latest fund, the firm continues to scale across several strategies while maintaining a collaborative, lean operating culture.

     

    The Controller will serve as the CFO’s right hand, leading the day-to-day finance function across funds and management entities. This hands-on role partners closely with third-party administrators and drives process and system improvements, enabling the CFO to focus on strategic initiatives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

    Requirements

    + 8+ years of accounting experience within venture capital, private equity, or fund administration

    + Proven experience managing fund accounting A–Z

    + Strong understanding of partnership accounting, capital accounts, and carry

    + Experience working with fund administrators, auditors, and tax providers

    + Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a lean team
