Description

Our client in Concord is seeking an experienced Tax Manager for a 2+ month engagement in support of the Tax Director . This role offers the flexibility of remote work and requires a strong background in corporate tax, including both income and indirect tax. You will play a vital role in managing tax provisions, ensuring compliance, and supporting various tax-related activities for a multi-entity organization. Pay is expected to be $80-$100/hr. DOE and location.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review annual income tax provisions in compliance with ASC 740 standards

• Conduct detailed reviews of supporting workpapers to ensure accuracy and completeness

• Manage corporate tax returns, including filing extensions and final submissions

• Oversee indirect tax processes, such as sales and use tax, while coordinating with controllers of smaller subsidiaries

• Collaborate with external CPA firms to provide necessary tax adjustments and financial information

• Utilize OneSource software for tax provision preparation and reporting

• Analyze and explain findings from tax workpapers to senior management

• Ensure timely preparation and review of tax-related financials, including provisions and adjustments

• Support the VP of Finance in tax-related decision-making and reporting processes

• Maintain compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local tax regulations

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate tax, including income and indirect tax

• Expertise in ASC 740 and annual income tax provision preparation

• Proficiency in using OneSource and Excel for tax reporting and analysis

• Strong knowledge of corporate tax returns and related compliance processes

• Familiarity with sales and use tax requirements for multi-entity structures

• Ability to manage tax provisions for large private entities with multiple subsidiaries

• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently

• Experience collaborating with external CPA firms and internal finance teams
