Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Assembler to perform duties in line with our Quality Management System, Safety Management System, and company requirements. The role involves assembling sub-assemblies, installing accessory components and materials. The Assembler will inspect products to meet quality, engineering, and customer standards and will operate hand tools. This is a manufacturing company that manufactures insulations panels for walk in freezers.

Responsibilities

+ Assemble sub-assemblies and install accessory components and materials.

+ Wire basic electrical connections according to applicable diagrams.

+ Inspect products to ensure conformity with quality, engineering, and customer requirements.

+ Operate hand tools, including electrical and pneumatic power tools.

+ Load, unload, lift, and move materials and products using lifting equipment when available.

+ Read and interpret job orders, diagrams, and blueprints to select and position materials and components.

+ Complete and maintain all associated electronic processes and paperwork, including checklists, stamping, blueprints, bar coding, and shipping materials.

+ Maintain departmental housekeeping and adhere to 5S standards.

+ Complete additional tasks and projects as needed by the department.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with hand and power tools.

+ Ability to read a measuring tape.

+ Understanding of blueprints is advantageous.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Familiarity with mechanical assembly and production processes.

+ General labor experience.

Work Environment

The role is based in a manufacturing environment, operating on the first shift from 5:00 AM to 1:45 PM, including a 45-minute lunch break. The dress code requires full-length pants made of sturdy material without holes, along with steel-toed boots (not provided). Safety glasses, ear plugs, and safety sleeves will be provided for your protection.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Dimas, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
