    Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description

     

    We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of building and equipment repairs in a climate-controlled environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining HVAC, plumbing, electrical, PLC, and mechanical systems, ensuring that all processes comply with safety and quality standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead by example by applying company values and mission in daily activities.

    + Perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical, PLC, and mechanical repairs.

    + Utilize e-maintenance for equipment management, parts ordering, and predictive maintenance.

    + Implement preventative and predictive maintenance procedures.

    + Maintain inventory of repair equipment, supplies, and tools.

    + Ensure maintenance areas are organized, clean, and meet food safety requirements.

    + Conduct inspections of facilities and equipment alongside the Maintenance Manager.

    + Respond promptly to emergencies, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocols.

    + Design hygienic equipment layouts and implement improvements for waste elimination and safety.

    + Regularly clean and organize tools in a lean manner.

    + Collaborate with production and quality departments to facilitate maintenance processes.

    + Perform additional maintenance duties as requested by management.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in HVAC, mechanical, and/or electrical systems.

    + Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting, electrical and mechanical maintenance.

    + Ability to perform preventive maintenance and repair tasks.

    + Skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, and schematic reading.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in maintaining food production equipment is highly desirable.

    + Experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.

    + Familiarity with maintaining small components and minor production equipment.

    Work Environment

    Work in a climate-controlled facility from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., focusing on troubleshooting conveyors, mixers, lifts, and other minor production equipment. The role involves wearing smocks and hair nets, complying with food safety standards, and working closely with a Maintenance Planner and Manager for support. The role requires sanitizing equipment before and after maintenance tasks.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodbine, GA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
