    *Summary:*

     

    The Imaging Services Coordinator would manage patient appointments, perform outreach, and confirmation of scheduled exams.

     

    *Responsibilities:*

    1. Proficient in scheduling systems: Soarian Financials and Cerner Powerchart for patient imaging exam scheduling.

    2. Performs accurate search/selection of patient within hospital system using Patient Identification procedure.

    3. Accurately establishes and schedules appointments for Imaging services for patients following the designated protocols of the scheduling systems and clinical EMRs.

    4. Obtains patient signature on Authorization of Release of Medical Record forms for the purpose of obtaining prior imaging from non-Nuvance facilities.

    5. Works closely with Breast Imaging Supervisor on all breast imaging schedules and reporting.

    6. Performs outreach for screening mammography patients on Teams list.

    7. Performs confirmation calls for all modalities and provides necessary prep/instruction.

    8. Educates patients on the importance of yearly mammograms.

    9. Uploads outside imaging and reports to Cerner and PACS.

    10. Assists with Magview letters and reporting.

    11. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

    12. Merge patient names in Hologic/PACs systems.

    13. Performs other duties as assigned.

    *Required:*

     

    HS Graduate or Equivalent

     

    Minimum Experience: zero to six months

     

    Desired: Previous experience working hands-on with patients in a Radiology setting.
