Responsibilities:
+ Meet and exceed production goals set forth by plant management.
+ Responsible for minimizing down time through engineering controls
+ Responsible for daily checks and autonomous maintenance of the machines in his department (Flesher and Splitter Machines).
+ Develop new machine operators with quality and safety behaviors to operate Flesher and Splitter Machines.
+ Responsible to check, guarantee a good use and guarantee safety condition of the fork lift machine in his department thru checklist and visual check.
+ Manage employees to unload and load drums on time to improve productivity.
+ Report to technical area when identify technical opportunities with hides produced.
+ Improve employee safety by identifying hazards and problem shooting solutions.
+ Proactively looks for ways to reduce cost through the elimination of excess chemicals.
+ Be responsible of substandard generation, actions to reduce and grade them correctly.
+ Look for continuous improvement in operating processes, procedures and encourages team member’s ownership of all processes
+ Manages hourly employee’s timecards, vacation requests and schedules ensuring accurate pay.
+ Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing employees on the use of all control points, equipment and resources.
+ Be responsible to asset a task for his employees in any moment of downtime, giving priority to finish side tasks and helping other areas.
+ To train employees into operational procedures.
+ To define processes and methods, implementing preventives & correctives productions actions.
Qualifications:
+ High school Diploma
+ Associates/Bachelor Degree in a related field preferred but not required
+ Minimum of 2 years’ experience needed
+ Must be a highly effective communicator**
+ Must be able to Travel as needed
+ Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

+ Production and maintenance settings
+ Exposure to various chemicals and machinery
+ Slippery floors, extreme temperatures and loud noises
+ High level of interaction with other departments and employees
+ 50+ hours per week and weekends
The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following **compensation and benefits** :
+ **Benefits** : Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
+ **Paid Time Off** : sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
+ **401(k):** company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
+ **Base salary** range of **$72,000 to $78,000**
+ **Incentive Pay:** This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s quarterly bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
