Bring your medical experience and passion for patient care as an **Endoscopy Technician** at our Banner University Medical Center Phoenix location. In this role, you will have an opportunity to assist in all types of GI, Biliary and Pulmonary procedures. This also includes the opportunity to participate in advanced/interventional Biliary and Pulmonary procedures. Remote procedures are also performed throughout the facility. This is a fast paced, collaborative environment!
SHIFT DETAILS

**Hours per Week:** 4-10s | 40hrs
**Shift:** 0800 start
**Schedule:** Monday-Friday
**On Call:** Yes, weekend and holiday rotations required.
Enjoy a flat rate $5/hr for call, $1/hour weekend shift differential and an 18%-night shift differential, when applicable.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position coordinates the services of the department and assists with prescribed endoscopic procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to organize and provide care appropriate to patient population.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Oversees the daily workflow of the technician staff. Plans ahead, makes appropriate assignments and adjustments based on procedural needs. Responsible for maintaining efficient operations within the department.
2. Participates in the interviewing, hiring, termination and performance assessment processes Assists with the orientation and the evaluation of clinical competencies.
3. Performs all duties and responsibilities of a Technician by assisting in performing endoscopic procedures in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. Demonstrates the principles of aseptic technique and universal precautions throughout the procedure.
4. Coordinates all activities related to the cleaning, disinfection, sterilization and storage of scopes and reusable devices according to departmental policies and guidelines.
5. Collaborates with various departments to assure adequate resources and the proper coordination of safe, efficient patient care management. Responsible for maintaining adequate levels of supplies. Serves as the liaison with outside vendors.
6. Assists in the development of monitoring processes and implements IOP/QA activities within the department.
7. Serves as a resource to patients, families, and other members of the health care team. Supports the operations of the department by assisting with various activities as needed.
8. This position works under direct supervision and follows pre-established procedures and protocols. Assists with the efficient operation of the department. Internal customers are patients and all levels of staff. External customers may include practicing physicians, patient families and outside vendors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Certification for BLS is required.
This position requires clinical knowledge normally associated with 1 - 2 years of experience as an Endoscopy Technician. Must demonstrate excellent organizational, communication and human relations skills.

Certification preferred. Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
