Role Summary
The Senior Business Planner for Networking Security will focus on growing this multi-billion-dollar business by envisioning the right business models that support the packaging and monetization needs. This planner is responsible for creating the Strategy for the Networking Security portfolio and for the operational processes to provide hands-on assistance in day-to-day activities. This planner will collaborate with Data Science teams to formulate data-driven yield management strategies and support capacity-informed monetization decisions. As required, the planner will partner cross-functionally to execute on in-flight initiatives that shape how customers engage with Microsoft’s Azure Cloud portfolio.

Responsibilities
+ Business Strategy – Define and document business strategies with the targeted audiences and ensure the initiatives are aligned with those strategies and are well understood and prioritized across teams.
+ Monetization Approach – Develop the approach for how Microsoft monetizes the Networking Security portfolio including building and optimizing freemium and paid acquisition and growth strategies. Separately, craft strategies to leverage the growth in Microsoft Security.
+ Yield Management – Collaborate with the Data Science teams to enhance Yield Management capabilities within the Networking Security portfolio and develop strategies that leverage data analytics to inform capacity-based monetization decisions.
+ Packaging and Pricing – Define and deliver plans for specific offers, SKUs, and other packaging options to implement the monetization approach and create profitable growth.
+ Transactability and Execution – Leveraging existing team processes, ensure Microsoft delivers a coherent customer experience across offers and channels.
+ Business Results – Create and share insights on what is working and what is not working to achieve business outcomes to enhance go-forward strategies.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
+ 5+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience OR equivalent experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications
+ 8+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Computer Science, Economics, Business, or related field OR 6+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), or related field OR equivalent experience.
Business Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
