What You’ll Do
As a Caterpillar Service Technician, you’ll be the go-to expert for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining CAT heavy equipment in our shop. From dozers and excavators to wheel loaders and haul trucks, you’ll ensure every Caterpillar machine performs at peak efficiency.
Your responsibilities will include:
+ Performing diagnostics and repairs on Caterpillar engines, drive-train components, electrical and hydraulic systems.
+ Inspecting and maintaining CAT equipment, rebuilding components, and ensuring optimal performance.
+ Servicing air conditioning systems, maintaining detailed service records, and collaborating with fellow technicians on complex Caterpillar repairs.
+ Using Caterpillar diagnostic tools like Electronic Technician (ET) and Service Information System (SIS) to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
+ Adhering to all safety protocols within the shop environment.
What We’re Looking For
+ Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
+ Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment applications, operations, and functions.
+ Skilled in using Caterpillar diagnostic tools (ET, SIS).
+ Welding experience is a plus!
Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or GED required.
+ Completion of a technical school program (minimum 2 years) focused on diesel or power equipment systems.
+ At least 3 years of relevant industry experience, with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on mechanical repair experience on Caterpillar or similar heavy equipment.

Physical Requirements
+ Lifting/Carrying 40 lb. Lift/Carry and 50lb pulling
+ Standing/Sitting Up and down stairs, standing, sitting, and climbing into machines
+ Dexterity Normal
+ Repetitive Motions: Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers
+ The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
