About this role
This position supervises a team of production employees in Materials & Logistics and sets day-to-day activities involving storing and shipping products, conducts inventory control and prepares reports and manuals. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of shipping, receiving, packaging and preservation, inventory control, logistics, training, planning, employee performance evaluations and problem solving in a warehouse operations environment.
Key Responsibilities
+ Assist with warehouse inventory accuracy and keep records of the inventory
+ Lead clerical team of indirect support team members, including but not limited to inventory, logistics, planning etc.
+ Complete daily safety inspections
+ Assist with quality issues and provide recommendations for resolution
+ Monitor yard trailer movement and radio communication
+ Support continuous improvement efforts and recommend measures to improve production, quality, and safety
+ Partner with union leadership to quickly resolve issues and drive a high-performance culture
+ Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, safety rules, and regulations
+ Effectively manage hourly associates and achieve employee engagement objectives
+ Use Cx (Continuous Improvement) tools to improve production and quality opportunities and correct deficiencies as they occur
+ Ensure EH&S standards and administrative procedures are followed
+ Must be able to work all shifts in a 24-hour operation with weekend overtime as required
Required Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ 3+ years of experience managing or supervising in a warehousing, production, and/or planning environment
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree, Associate degree, or Diploma in related field.
+ Experience motivating, coaching and leading hourly associates, preferably in a union environment
+ Proven leadership abilities that drive results with a sense of urgency
+ Supervisory experience in materials workforce or shipping/receiving operations with proven leadership skills and experience
+ Result oriented with ability to multitask and handle deadlines in a fast-paced environment
+ Knowledge in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles preferred
+ Demonstrate sound leadership skills with a sense of urgency to obtain results
+ Ability to effectively work cross functionally with various groups including Materials, Quality, Purchasing, Engineering, Logistics Center, Finance, HR, EH&S, etc.
+ Proficient in the use of PC and software applications

This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is $80,750 – $113,250. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
