Job Overview

Under direction of Activities Director, assists with planning, developing, coordinating and maintaining a program of activities designed to provide mental, physical and social stimulation that meets identified individual needs, interests, and capabilities of the residents. Provides opportunity for entertainment, exercise, relaxation, and expression for all residents.

Expectations:

*Assist with creating a schedule of activities to meet needs and desires across the range of residents participating.

*Demonstrate ability to work in group setting, or conduct one-on-one time with some residents.

*Demonstrates good communication with residents, resident families, and across departments.

*Documents participation and times of resident involvement for activities.

*Someone with a flexible, fun, personality

*Other duties as assigned.

Hawkeye Care Center has been locally owned and operated for over 50 years. Mike Hamm founded Hawkeye Care Center to provide an exceptional environment for aging adults while instilling deeply rooted family values of integrity, trust, and compassion.

Our new, state-of-the-art care center opened in August 2018. It was constructed to accommodate a variety of living situations, whether it be short-term or long-term care. We provide skilled nursing rehabilitation, assisted living, assisted living-memory care, long term nursing care, and outpatient therapy.
