Lab Coordinator
As a key member of our team, you will coordinate daily testing activities within our seed health testing platforms. Your role is crucial in ensuring the traceability of samples, managing inventories of critical lab supplies, and maintaining communication with Operations managers and stakeholders. You will be responsible for creating and monitoring KPIs and metrics for standardized test methods, identifying areas for improvement, and communicating these to leadership. As a process expert, you will train others, create documents and protocols, and ensure compliance with external accreditation standards. Your efforts will drive continuous improvement projects and troubleshoot quality testing issues related to data management, automation, and method documentation. Collaboration with IT teams to capture lab requirements and test new functionalities with IT/SAP/LIMS systems is also a key aspect of this role.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Coordinate daily testing activities of seed health testing platforms, ensuring sample traceability and timely delivery of service level agreements;
+ Monitor sample queue and communicate resourcing needs to Operations managers;
+ Communicate technical issues to appropriate stakeholders and manage inventories of critical lab supplies/reagents;
+ Create and monitor KPIs and metrics for standardized test methods, identify areas for improvement, and communicate to leadership;
+ Function as a process expert for the testing platform and train others to perform processes;
+ Create documents/protocols, review and summarize technical data for presentation to peers and management;
+ Ensure all work instructions and procedures are accurate, current, and comply with external accreditation standards;
+ Implement continuous improvement projects and troubleshoot quality testing issues related to data management, automation, and method documentation;
+ Collaborate with IT teams to capture lab requirements and perform testing of new functionality with IT/SAP/LIMS systems.
WHO YOU ARE:
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree required, preferably in biology, microbiology, pathology, chemistry, or a related field;
+ At least 2 years of experience supervising or directing teams;
+ Ability to lead through influence, comfortable with ambiguity, and capable of communicating and leading change within teams;
+ Knowledge of process improvement systems/methods;
+ Experience with computer programs such as Microsoft Excel (Data Analysis, Macros), Business Objects, Access (database design and use), LIMS (Labware or Labvantage preferred), SAP;
+ Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a high throughput environment;
+ Willingness to work weekends and overtime as required, and adapt to potential changes in shift hours.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $ Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant).
