    As a **Security Officer - Armed Building Patrol** in **Los Angeles, CA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal serving a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible throughout your shift. You will engage with the public, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain strong communication as part of a dedicated team.     What You'll Do:

    + Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.

    + Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols.

    + Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and monitor for any unusual circumstances.

    + Maintain awareness of the surroundings and promptly report any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns.

    + Monitor access points and verify credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry.

    + Support law enforcement and emergency personnel as directed during incidents or emergencies on the premises.

    + Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and activities during assigned shifts.

    + Handle assigned security-related equipment responsibly and comply with all company and client-specific protocols for armed patrol posts.

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.

    + Possess an armed guard card or license.

    + Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.

    + Customer service experience is preferred.

    + Pepper spray certification is preferred.

    + Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

    + Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

    + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

    + Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

    + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

    + Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

    + Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

    + A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
