Job Title: Building Engineer
Job Description
The Building Engineer is responsible for maintaining central utility plant equipment, HVAC equipment, and monitoring and adjusting the BAS. This role includes preparing recommendations for system improvements, maintenance programs, and evaluations. As a technical leader, you will oversee installations and upgrades to facilities systems, working under the general supervision of the Engineering Project Manager and the technical oversight of engineers.
Responsibilities
+ Investigate and document operational data of building systems.
+ Prepare recommendations for system improvements and maintenance programs.
+ Perform as a technical leader for installations and upgrades to facilities systems.
+ Maintain advanced knowledge in specialties such as Fire Detection System, Emergency Power Distribution, Fire Protection System, Plumbing, and more.
+ Ensure compliance with relevant local, state, federal, and regulatory stipulations and codes.
Essential Skills
+ Advanced knowledge in specialties such as Fire Detection System, Emergency Power Distribution, Fire Protection System, Plumbing, Air/Water Balancing, and more.
+ Experience with Digital Controls and Monitoring, Pneumatic Tube System, High Voltage Certified Maintenance, and others.
+ Proficiency in Electrical, Maintenance Technician, Mechanical, Facilities, and HVAC systems.
+ Strong troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma.
+ 5 years of experience in a related field.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $47.00/hr.
