Job Title: General Production Worker** **Job Description
This is a temporary project role expected to last until June 2026, due to the department shutdown of the Cannery. The focus will be on the rising demand for pouches over canned goods. Contractors will handle tasks such as filling, mixing, and machine operating in a wet department that cans food. Comfort with computers is crucial. This is considered a Skilled Laborer role, and prior manufacturing experience is required.
Responsibilities
+ Filling Associate: Transfer frozen blocks of meat from pallets to tables and back onto block conveyors.
+ Forklift Operator: Move ingredients and packaging from storage to production lines and back, and empty dumpsters.
+ Gravy Operator: Create gravy batches following formulas, use HMI screens for processing, and lift at least 60 lbs.
+ Utility: Relieve gravy, mixer, steamer, and hydro positions, requiring knowledge of all four jobs.
+ Mixer Operator: Create meat batches, follow formulas, use HMI screens for processing, and lift at least 60 lbs.
+ Equipment Cleaner: Clean processing areas when not filling in on a job, requiring knowledge of all nine jobs.
+ Seamer Operator: Feed ends onto cans, inspect for damage, and monitor the line for proper can filling.
+ Utility Packing: Relieve or operate equipment, requiring knowledge of all jobs.
+ Variety Pack Tech: Operate every piece of equipment in all departments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in production, packaging, inspection, picker, packer, bagging, re-work, machine operation, general labor, and general production.

Work Environment
The work environment is focused on manufacturing, specifically food manufacturing. Uniforms, including shirts and pants, are provided on the first day, and steel-toed shoes are required. Training occurs during the first shift, and the role requires working in a structured setting with a clear dress code.

This is a Contract position based out of Bloomsburg, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
