Job Description:

+ Receives soiled and contaminated instruments or equipment from surgery, anesthesia, and nursing units.

+ Prepares, cleans, and disinfects instruments and equipment appropriately.

+ Inspects all instruments and equipment for damages, malfunction, or unacceptable condition.

+ Prepares instruments and equipment for sterilization by verifying correct items and quantities.

+ Assures proper sterilization procedures are performed and the effectiveness of the sterilizing process.

Sign-on Eligibility:

+ · Applicable experience required.

+ · Internal Candidates and Rehires within 12 months are not eligible.

Education:

• Associate [Preferred]

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

• Technical/Vocational School [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• Previous sterile processing technician experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Preferred]

• Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST) [Preferred] or

• Certified Sterile Processing Tech (CSPD) [Preferred]

$16.14 - $25.83
