Job Description:

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

+ Assists in regulatory surveys and legal investigations, including patient complaint surveys and compliance with CMS reporting requirements.

+ Manages the internal event report system, ensuring compliance with relevant statutes and timely reporting of adverse events.

+ Reviews reported events for data completeness and accuracy, initiating follow-up with appropriate Directors and Managers within three days.

+ Identifies, investigates, and reports on Sentinel Events/Never Events, facilitating Root Cause Analyses. Participates in the facility process for Disclosure of Unanticipated Outcomes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in either written form or electronic/magnetic recording [Required]

• Speaking skills: Talking to others to effectively convey information [Required]

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]

• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 2+ years experience in health care risk management which includes claims management/litigation prevention [Preferred]

• 3+ years clinical experience in healthcare related field [Required]

• Experience in process improvement/patient safety [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]

• Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) [Preferred]

• Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) [Preferred]

Pay Range:

$49,718.59 - $92,468.74
