Job Summary
This positio will perform work on multiple gasket producing machines. This position will interpret written stock customer order forms, as well as retrieving material from stock area to create new products based on customer specifications.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
+ Receive and review customer and work orders.
+ Verify correct materials are available and staged for each order.
+ Retrieve and maintain stock of raw materials from designated storage areas.
+ Determine material type, size, and specifications required for production.
+ Set up and program winding, assembly, punching, stamping, slitting and related machines according to order specifications (pipe size, pressure rating, material, and markings).
+ Operate manual and automated equipment, including Autowinder, Punch Press, Stamping Press, Slitter, and assembly machines.
+ Load materials onto machines, including lifting and positioning rolls using overhead cranes when required.
+ Actuate machines using control panels or foot pedals as applicable.
+ Perform visual inspections of fillers, rings, and finishing gaskets to ensure compliance with manufacturing specifications.
+ Verify accuracy of stamping information (company name, size, pressure rating, material).
+ Identify and report tooling issues, including improper or damages dies.
+ Inspect punched and stamped components for quality and accuracy.
+ Clean gaskets using approved solvents and lint-free materials per oxygen service procedures.
+ Inspect gaskets under ultraviolet light to detect contamination.
+ Re-clean gaskets as needed until gaskets with required process, size, material, and part identification.
+ Package and box gaskets per company procedures or customer specifications.
+ Stack, strap, shrink-wrap, and containerize completed gaskets as required.
+ Attach work orders and identification tags to finished products.
+ Transport finished gaskets to inspection, storage, or shipping areas.
+ Maintain a clean, organized, safe workstation, and follow all safety procedures, equipment guidelines, and company policies.
Job Specifications
Physical Requirements
+ Ability to lift, climb, bend, stoop, push and pull.
+ Continuous standing and/or walking.
+ Good eye/hand/foot coordination.
+ Ability to work in cold, hot and/or dusty environment, with noisy conditions and occasionally outside in the elements.
+ Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively; capable of listening intently; visual acuity to process paperwork.
+ Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
+ Must be able to lift thirty-five (35) pounds, independently.
Education
+ Required: High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
Work Experience
+ No prior work experience required, but experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred.
