Job Summary
The Cross-Sectional Radiology Scheduler is an integral asset of pre-procedural care for CSIR patients. The role involves working closely with a nurse coordinator and physician assistant team to schedule all CSIR appointments, coordinate with Radiology providers, nursing, anesthesia, and patients.

Responsibilities*
SCHEDULING
+ Add case to schedule and support same day add-ons.
+ Coordinate CSIR procedures with other radiological studies and/or anesthesia.
+ Obtain outside films and labs prior to patients? procedures.
+ Perform all other administrative duties related to the scheduling process.
+ Identify and track reoccurring scheduling/operational problems and participate in resolution.
COMMUNICATION
+ Communicate/collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure an integrated approach to service.
+ Proactively serve as a liaison between customers and internal Michigan Medicine personnel to ensure adequate response and customer/patient satisfaction.
+ Contact patient to schedule case.
+ Answer incoming phone calls and triage to appropriate location.
COORDINATION
+ Manage CSIR's inpatient work queue.
+ Manage CSIR in-basket pool.
Required Qualifications*
+ Must have demonstrated good communication skills, both written and verbal.
+ Excellent attendance record.
+ Adhere to high standards of teamwork by demonstrating adaptability, flexibility, and consistently sharing information and resources with others.
+ Ability to work independently in an ever-changing and potentially stressful environment.
+ Demonstrate dependability, initiative, ability to prioritize, and ability to accept direction.
+ Strong organizational skills.
+ At least one year of scheduling experience.
+ High School diploma or equivalent.
+ Minimum 3 years of experience.
Desired Qualifications*
+ Two years patient care experience
+ Prior experience with MiChart
+ Associate's degree in a health science

Union Affiliation
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
Background Screening
