    Responsibilities

    The Work

     

    The Agile Coach will play a pivotal role in training corporate teams on the Agile methodology, overseeing the development and growth of Agile teams, and driving a culture of agility across the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding teams through the implementation process while fostering an environment of collaboration, adaptability, and continuous improvement. Additionally, they will serve as an advocate for Agile practices, encouraging employees and leadership to embrace and sustain Agile principles to achieve effective and transformative business outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Educate corporate teams and stakeholders on Agile principles, frameworks (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, Kanban), and best practices.

    + Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and hands-on activities to build foundational Agile skills across departments.

    + Oversee the development of Agile teams, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

    + Act as a mentor and guide for Agile Team Leads, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and team members to maximize their effectiveness and productivity.

    + Monitor team progress and provide continuous coaching to foster high-performance teams.

    + Guide teams and leadership through the Agile adoption and implementation process, tailoring approaches based on organizational culture and strategic goals.

    + Identify and address challenges within processes, enabling teams to adapt and optimize their workflow.

    + Provide actionable recommendations for scaling Agile methodologies within the organization.

    + Encourage organizational leaders and team members to actively embrace Agile values and principles.

    + Actively work to minimize resistance to change by highlighting Agile’s long-term benefits to productivity, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

    + Support leaders in policy and process adjustments needed to sustain Agile success

    + Evaluate and assess Agile maturity levels across the organization, facilitating continuous improvement strategies.

    + Stay current with emerging Agile trends, tools, and certifications to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of Agile best practices.

    + Foster a culture of transparency, iterative learning, and adaptive decision-making.

    Qualifications

    + **Level 2:** 4-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

    + **Level 3:** 8 or more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

    Minimum Skills:

    + Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and articulate manner.

    + Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

    + Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail.

    + Ability to analyze systems and procedures

    + Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple design streams across concurrent work effort.

    + Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team.

    + Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

    Desired Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

    + Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP), or equivalent are highly desirable.

    + Proven experience in training and mentoring teams in an Agile environment, with demonstrated success driving organizational change.

    + Expertise in Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and Lean methodologies.

    **Reports to:** Program Manager

    Working Conditions

    + Professional office environment, with the ability to work onsite in the main office.

    + Must reside in the Austin area.

    + Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time.

    + Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.

    + Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.

    + Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen.

    + May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.

    + May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.

    + May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.

    + Travel costs, per diem, and other related expensesmust be pre-approved in compliance with State of Texas travel guidelines.
