Description
The Assistant Software Developer is responsible for ensuring our clients success by creating solutions to business challenges. The Assistant Software Developers role is to design, code, test and analyze software programs and applications. This role will also analyze software errors and provide status reports where necessary.
+ Assist other developers, analysts, and designers to develop new software programs and applications.
+ Assist planning phases of the software development life cycle for assigned projects.
+ Assist with design, test, deploy and maintenance of one or more software products.
+ Assist with research on emerging application development software projects in support of procurement and development efforts.
+ Write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications.
+ Assist with design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
+ Assist with software updates and testing.
+ Write programming scripts to enhance functionality of software for assigned projects.
+ Schedule and assist with software improvements and updates.
+ Analyze user needs and assist with developing software solutions.
+ Work with other developers across business lines to make technical recommendations.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor Degree Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology, or related field Required or
+ High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of related experience Required
+ Prior internship and/or related experience preferred.
+ Microsoft A certification a plus.
+ Basic knowledge of full lifecycle development as backend developer preferred.
+ Basic knowledge of relational or NoSQL databases (SQL Server is highly preferred) and creating SQL statements preferred.
+ Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web fonts preferred.
+ Technical expertise in computer equipment, storage, back-ups, operating systems and tools used in an operating environment required.
+ Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
+ Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PPT).
+ Ability to obtain applicable certifications.
+ Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
+ Involvement on campus or in the community preferred.
+ Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.
