Job Description

To provide a warm, welcoming, aesthetically pleasing atmosphere while exceeding guest expectations by providing professional children's programs in Camp Amelia and Camp Amelia @ Night and our craft experience

Responsibilities

+ Oversee daily camp themes.

+ Properly complete and file waivers, registration, and recreation agreements.

+ Safely execute all field trips and excursions.

+ Actively engage with campers through structured games, activities, and crafts.

+ Work daily camp themes to include field trips, swimming, crafts, and activities by providing guests with an outstanding camp experience.

+ Connect with guests to create take-home keepsakes.

+ Enthusiastically greet and converse with campers and parents.

+ Assist with routine cleaning of the camp room and all toys and equipment (e.g., sweeping, cleaning, emptying trash, picking up towels and trash, organizing, and inventory).

+ Answer phones with a professional greeting and assist guests with any questions or reservations.

+ Attend and participate in monthly All Together Get Together meetings.

+ Provide leaders with inventory updates of supplies and creative ideas for camp.

+ Engage guests of all ages in exploring Omni Amelia Island and surrounding areas through a variety of activities and options.

+ Maintain clear communication with associates and guests.

+ Remain knowledgeable of Omni’s culture.

+ Actively participate in ensuring the safety of all guests.

+ Work holiday special programs as scheduled.

+ Oversee setup of activities according to the schedule.

+ Oversee breakdown of activities according to the schedule.

+ Effectively handle guest opportunities.

+ Demonstrate creativity, crowd management, and Tanner the mascot enthusiasm.

+ Lead the pool deck in organized games and activities with energy and enthusiasm.

+ Work activities by providing guest assistance, including but not limited to offering property information.

+ Provide on-property directions to guests.

+ Deliver quality service during all activities.

+ Execute crafts and activities with energy and enthusiasm.

+ Escort guests while providing top-tier customer service.

+ Assist with routine cleaning of the craft hut and all activity equipment (e.g., sweeping, cleaning, emptying trash, picking up towels and trash, organizing, and inventory).

+ Clean up after any craft or activity, including beach, pool, and conference center areas.

+ Demonstrate excellent microphone and public-speaking skills.

+ Demonstrate moderate skills in technology and AV equipment with a willingness to learn more.

Qualifications

Tools and Equipment:

+ Equipment: Computer and programs to include ResortSuite, Xola and Outlook, A/V equipment to include speakers, microphones, basic tools to include drills, craft supplies and activity equipment to include snow cone machine, dry goods etc

+ Working Environment:

+ Interior and exterior with exposure to weather conditions

+ Expose to hot and cold temperatures

+ Camp Amelia, Craft hut, Pool deck, Beach, department storage areas, Nature center, Fitness center, walking paths and lobby areas.

Physical Job Requirements (for essential functions only)

+ Able to lift and lift up to 50 pounds

+ Able to stoop, stand, push, pull and walk or stand for long periods of time
