Our client, a leading manufacturer specializing in felt products, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join their team. As a Machine Operator, you will be an essential part of the production process, supporting the manufacturing of high-quality felt products. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to work, ensuring the smooth operation of manual machine shop equipment in a dynamic environment.

**Job Title:** Machine Operator

**Location:** Lackawanna, NY

Pay Range: $21-$24

Shift: 7:30am-4:00pm

What's the Job?

+ Read and interpret blueprints to produce precise felt products according to specifications

+ Set up, operate, and maintain manual machine shop equipment to manufacture hard-felt wheels and other products

+ Measure and inspect finished products using precision tools to ensure they meet quality standards

+ Perform basic maintenance on machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation

+ Collaborate with team members to optimize production capabilities and troubleshoot issues as they arise

What's Needed?

+ Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Machinist, Tool & Die Maker, or similar role using manual machine shop equipment

+ Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and tolerances

+ Physical ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs regularly

+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for quality assurance

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
