Our client, a leading organization in the security and technology sector, is seeking a Director of Information Security to join their team. As a Director of Information Security, you will be part of the Information Security Department supporting the organization's cybersecurity initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and proven leadership qualities, which will align successfully within the organization.

**Job Title:** Director of Information Security

**Location:** New York, New York

**Pay Range:** $130,000 - $140,000

What's the Job?

+ Lead the organization’s information security program, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data.

+ Develop and execute a comprehensive security strategy and multi-year roadmap aligned with business goals.

+ Oversee risk assessments, vulnerability testing, security audits, and prioritize mitigation activities.

+ Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual security requirements such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, and SOC2.

+ Manage security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, and threat detection activities.

What's Needed?

+ 5+ years of cybersecurity experience including leadership responsibilities.

+ Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

+ Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CEH, or equivalent.

+ Deep familiarity with security frameworks like NIST CSF, ISO 27001, COBIT, and risk management methodologies.

+ Experience managing MSSPs or SOC providers, and securing cloud-based and SaaS environments.
