    Job Summary

    In this role you are part of the Infrastructure Engineering, Client Compute Engineering (CCE) team working within the Digital Transformation (D&T) group responsible for working closely with local, regional, and global teams supporting tools and functions providing endpoint deployment maintenance and management. You will provide technical and administrative services in a highly complex and global environment that will utilize such tools as: Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manger, Intune, JAMF, AutoPilot, Beyond Trust, Azure and Entra ID, Active Directory Administration, including but not limited to Workstation management, OU and Group Policy Objects.

     

    The CCE team is responsible to consult with the business using standard services and defines implementation concepts for enhancements and new features that are in line with D&T best practices and applicable regulatory requirements (i.e. cGMP, Computer System Validation, 21 CFR part 11 compliance).

     

    This role would participate in continuously monitoring the development plans and announcements of our key service providers (e.g. Microsoft) that enable the CCE team to develop deployment strategies that enable new features to ensure that West utilizes the best and most efficient usage of our provider services. As a subject matter expert, you will enable the local site support team to implement troubleshooting of installation and configuration issues by providing useful documentation and 3rd level support where necessary.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    + Strong understanding of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager with advanced knowledge of patch management and operating system deployment

    + Provide Microsoft and 3rd party patch management

    + Actively provide 3rd level support for related to tools like Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager

    + Strong understanding of Intune and Entra ID to with advanced knowledge of operating system deployment via AutoPilot

    + Imaging via OSD and AutoPilot, managing operating system feature upgrades

    + Beyond Trust Administration and client management

    + Support the owners of Active Directory when it comes to Group Policies, OU Management, workstation object for endpoint configuration

    + Leading and supporting the architectural and conceptual development of the tools listed

    + Lead / coordinate the troubleshooting and problem determination and resolution

    + Collaborate with the regional and global D&T organization to maintain existing endpoint configuration services

    + Participate in local, regional, and global D&T projects and support project execution

    + On-going observation of new enhancements and features of our endpoint configuration tools and services (e.g. Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Intune, JAMF)

    + Maintain Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager on a supported version

    + Ensure the Endpoint Configuration tools are updated to current levels and within supported versions

    + Perform scheduled and ad hoc control/compliance validation

    + Interact with customers, management, and staff on a technical level, as required

    + Provide the necessary tools to the company to keep the Endpoints within supported versions

    + Professional attitude in maintaining a clean, orderly and safe work area

    + Providing transparency on achievements, challenges and upcoming activities

    + Adherence and following the policies of D&T security related topics

    + Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules

    + Act in accordance with the company’s Guiding Principles and adherence to the corporate Code of Conduct

    + Compliance to all local site Environmental, Health and Safety regulations

    + Compliance to all local site company policies, procedures, and corporate policies

    + Other duties as assigned

    Education

    + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science

    Basic Qualifications

    + 5+ years of experience of deployment and support and operations of Endpoints, ideally in regulatory manufacturing environment

    + Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills

    + Strong business and service orientation

    + Open to change and prepared to drive change

    + Ability to work on own initiative and to meet strict deadlines

    + Strong project management and coordination skills

    + Experiences in collaboration within international teams

    + Required Language: English

    + Occasional On-Call work as required \#LI-AP1 #LI-HYBRID

    Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    + Has advanced and specialized expertise, typically developed through a combination of job related training and considerable on-the-job experience

    + Acts as a lead, coordinating the work of others – but is not a supervisor

    + Works autonomously within established procedures and practices

    + Maintains awareness of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy

    + Comply with the company’s safety policy at all times

    + Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager

    + Intune Windows device management, Co-management, AutoPilot

    + Advanced Scripting (Powershell, etc)

    + Program and project management skills – agile project management.

    + Knowledge of Patching via SCCM

    Travel Requirements

    10%: Up to 26 business days per year

    Physical Requirements

    Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
