Job Title: Engineering Test TechnicianJob Description
Join our team to perform in-house manufacturing and rework of avionics components. You will be transitioning into testing phases, including the setup and troubleshooting of test systems. Your role will also involve designing and fabricating fixtures using CAD and 3D printing, operating shop equipment for mechanical builds and assembly, and supporting PCB-level rework and soldering tasks.
Responsibilities
+ Perform in-house manufacturing and rework of avionics components.
+ Set up and troubleshoot test systems during testing phases.
+ Design and fabricate fixtures using CAD and 3D printing.
+ Operate shop equipment for mechanical builds and assembly.
+ Support PCB-level rework and soldering tasks.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in electronics and troubleshooting.
+ Experience with Python and Linux for running and troubleshooting test interfaces.
+ Proficiency in CAD software for designing fixtures and creating 3D printed parts.
+ Strong mechanical skills, comfortable using drill press, chop saws, CNC machines, manual mills, and lathes.
+ Experience with PCB rework, soldering, and component-level troubleshooting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with NX or SolidWorks CAD software.
+ Familiarity with electronic testing procedures and ability to set up custom tests.
+ Ability to fabricate parts using 3D printers and send parts for machining.
+ Understanding of basic electronics and component-level diagnostics.
+ Light coding skills for automation tasks.
Work Environment
Enjoy a casual dress code while working in a manufacturing shop environment. The position is for a morning shift with a start time between 7-9 AM. Benefit from catered lunches daily and numerous opportunities for overtime. This is a 6-month contract with a strong potential for conversion to a permanent role, given the high performance of consultants.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South San Francisco, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
