Job Title: Pharmacist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our team. This role involves ensuring the accuracy and efficiency in the preparation and dispensation of medications, while providing guidance to both pharmacy staff and healthcare providers. The position offers a dynamic work environment and the opportunity for growth within a high-volume retail setting.

Responsibilities

+ Review prescriptions issued by physicians or other authorized prescribers to ensure accuracy and determine necessary formulas and ingredients.

+ Compound sterile and non-sterile medications using standard formulas and processes, including weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.

+ Direct pharmacy employees engaged in mixing, packaging, labeling, and modifying prescription orders.

+ Ensure accurate intake and efficient fulfillment of prescription orders.

+ Dispense medications and provide support and counseling to nursing facility staff on the use of prescription and over-the-counter medications.

+ Advise physicians about medication therapy.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college or school of pharmacy.

+ Pharmacy License in the State of FL.

+ Attention to detail.

+ Strong interpersonal skills.

+ Strong oral and written communication skills.

+ Leadership abilities to coordinate multiple associates and provide direction.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or other Windows-based software programs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Retail experience highly preferred, especially in a high-volume environment.

+ Long-term or closed-door pharmacy experience as a Pharmacist preferred but not required.

+ Ability to stand for the entire work period.

Work Environment

This position requires working 40-hour weeks with potential for overtime. The schedule is set for the 2nd shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Sunday to Thursday. Initial training will be conducted during the 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The role involves working in a fast-paced, high-volume retail pharmacy environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Oviedo, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $61.00 - $63.00/hr.
