Project Controls Specialist

As a Project Controls Specialist, you’ll be the backbone of project performance—keeping schedules sharp, costs accurate, and teams aligned from kickoff to closeout.
What You’ll Do
+ Set up and manage project data in Enterprise Planning & Controls systems
+ Build and maintain WBS structures, schedules, cost reports, forecasts, and cash flows
+ Support engineering, procurement, and construction teams with planning and logistics
+ Review and track purchase orders, change orders, and cost adjustments
+ Collaborate with Project Management and Accounting to review budgets, contingencies, and audit readiness
+ Develop schedule logic, resource loading, and reporting formats
+ Run schedule analyses, what‑if scenarios, and earned value tracking
+ Conduct field audits, quality checks, and assist with forensic project analysis
+ Present clear, data‑driven insights that keep projects on time and on budget
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
+ 3+ years of project controls experience
+ Ability to obtain OSHA‑10 certification
+ Experience with project scheduling tools preferred
Work Environment
Join a 30‑person consulting engineering office in downtown Lexington with a collaborative, business‑casual culture. This is a Permanent position based out of Lexington, KY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.50 - $66.00/hr.
