Job Title: Laboratory Assistant

Job Description

The Laboratory Assistant plays a critical role in supporting research and development by conducting routine laboratory activities, managing information and data, and operating small-scale production equipment. This position requires the ability to work under guidance, adhering to established procedures while also identifying potential improvements in methods.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct routine research laboratory activities under supervision.

+ Manage and document information/data effectively.

+ Operate small-scale production equipment to support research and development.

+ Identify and suggest improvements in laboratory methods and processes.

+ Plan and execute projects of limited duration and scope.

+ Troubleshoot unexpected or erroneous results during experiments.

+ Produce and document research experimental results and data management outcomes.

+ Assemble and configure small-scale production equipment and control systems.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in laboratory techniques.

+ Strong writing and documentation skills.

Work Environment

This role involves working in a laboratory setting with access to small-scale production equipment and control systems. The candidate will be expected to adhere to safety protocols and work collaboratively under guidance. The position requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Waimea, HI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
