Job Title: Planner

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and technically skilled Planner to support site feasibility, land‑use research, entitlement management, and project coordination. This role works closely with agencies, clients, and internal teams to guide projects from early concept through review and approval.

Key Responsibilities

+ Conduct site feasibility studies, due diligence, and land‑use research

+ Review zoning ordinances, development regulations, environmental constraints, and comprehensive plans

+ Prepare conceptual site layouts, land‑use plans, and planning documentation

+ Manage entitlement processes, including zoning applications, subdivision plans, site plans, and variance submissions

+ Coordinate with municipal, regional, and state agencies during project review and approval

+ Attend planning board, zoning board, and public hearings as required

+ Collaborate with clients, engineers, surveyors, architects, and internal teams

+ Prepare planning reports, narrative summaries, maps, and presentations using GIS, CAD, and related tools

+ Support community engagement efforts by presenting project information to stakeholders

+ Maintain accurate documentation, schedules, and communication records

Essential Skills

+ Strong understanding of zoning codes, land‑use regulations, and site planning principles

+ Proficiency with GIS, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

+ Experience in land development, urban planning, or civil engineering

+ Familiarity with municipal approval processes, environmental regulations, and development standards

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Land Use Planning, Geography, Environmental Studies, or Civil Engineering

+ Master’s degree in Planning preferred

Work Environment

A collaborative setting working alongside clients, engineers, surveyors, architects, and internal teams. Responsibilities include preparing planning materials, attending public hearings, and engaging with community stakeholders throughout the review process.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of White Plains, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
