• Mechanical Design Engineer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a creative and skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to develop efficient and cost-effective custom solutions for various applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design and engineering, with expertise in using Solidworks for 3D system design.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct occasional on-site customer visits for pre-design information gathering.

    + Design 3D systems using Solidworks.

    + Communicate with customers to determine system parameters.

    + Lead internal and external design review meetings.

    + Generate part and assembly drawings.

    + Create Bills of Materials (BOM).

    + Troubleshoot and develop solutions for issues during machine testing.

    + Assist occasionally with in-house machine assembly.

    + Support occasional on-site installation and commissioning.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in machine design.

    + Expertise in Solidworks.

    + Strong mechanical engineering knowledge.

    + Experience in mechanical design.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.

    + 3-5 years of experience in machine design.

    + Ability to design custom machinery using 3D CAD.

    + Familiarity with machining and fabrication methods.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, NJ.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $53.00/hr.
