QC Technician (JUST QUALITY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED (WAREHOUSE))
Job Description
As a QC Technician, you will be integral to maintaining product quality by spending nearly all of your time on the production floor. Your primary responsibilities will include documenting data and non-conformances using computers located along the production lines. You will be responsible for identifying and escalating non-conforming products to the QA Lead, setting up quality equipment at the start of each shift, and performing visual inspections to ensure products meet label and barcode standards. This role operates on a 4 ON 4 OFF schedule from 7 AM to 7 PM.
PAY - $17.75/hour
Responsibilities
+ Understand and demonstrate safe work practices at all times.
+ Monitor the statistical process control (SPC) software suite known as Gainseeker.
+ Monitor, measure, and document line processes to ensure conformance to product Master specifications.
+ Examine and document packaging components and finished product assembly for conformance to product Master specifications.
+ Program, calibrate, and assist in the setup of Hi-Speed check weighers, Videojet, and Marsh coders.
+ Program and monitor the Automated Inventory Management system for tracking finished production.
+ Place non-conforming products on hold for disposition by the QC Manager.
+ Pull product retain samples.
+ Comply with all company policies and procedures.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with GMP, quality inspection, and GMP/FDA standards.
+ Proficiency in quality assurance, QC, document control, regulated environments, and regulatory compliance.
+ Familiarity with batch records, Microsoft Office, quality checks, and SOPs.
+ Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and conversions.
+ Strong attention to detail and the ability to catch products out of specification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ HS diploma minimum with relevant experience, or an Associate's degree in a lab-related discipline.
+ Experience in a regulated or Quality Control environment is preferred but not required.
+ Experience in restaurant work is considered beneficial.
+ Interest in learning and taking on new responsibilities.
+ Strong soft skills and a willingness to learn about the industry.
+ Pride in work, with an understanding of how details fit into the bigger picture.
Work Environment
This role requires spending nearly 100% of the time in the plant, with occasional time in the lab. The position involves being on your feet every day while conducting inspections. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.17 - $17.75/hr.
