Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Description
We are seeking a diligent Quality Inspector for our 1st shift, which operates from 5:30am to 2pm, Monday through Friday. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting all in-house manufactured components and finished products, as well as incoming vendor-supplied parts and materials. The ideal candidate will be organized, resourceful, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to function effectively under pressure.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct 1st piece inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections of components machined in-house.
+ Inspect all incoming materials to ensure they are within specified tolerances, of good quality, and free of defects.
+ Perform in-process inspections of general production processes including cutting, polishing, drilling, welding, and assembly.
+ Complete the final project quality control inspection prior to shipping, using fabrication prints to verify measurement accuracy and ensuring all products adhere to standards and specifications.
+ Identify the root cause of non-conformances and recommend corrective actions to management.
+ Establish, implement, and manage a system to evaluate, monitor, and report quality non-conformance trends.
+ Adhere to established company policies, procedures, terms, and conditions affecting quality control.
+ Coordinate with engineering, machining, and assembly departments to proactively identify and address quality issues.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools for inspection.
+ Experience in quality inspection and quality control processes.
+ Ability to accurately document and log measurements and report back to the leadership team.
+ Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate respectfully with others.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in quality inspection is preferred, but candidates skilled in precision measuring tools and open to training are welcome.

Work Environment
Our facility is a collaborative space with departments for welding, fabricating, machining, and general labor/assembly. We operate with a team of approximately 30 employees across the 1st and 2nd shifts. The dress code includes work pants, a t-shirt, and steel-toe boots or sneakers. Our company is a leading provider of modular and ornamental railing systems, frequently specified for commercial and residential applications.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of COLUMBIA, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.
