    Job Title: PLC Maintenance Technician** **Job Description

     

    We are seeking a skilled PLC Maintenance Technician to join our team, focusing on the troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of metal stamping equipment and supporting systems. This role demands expertise in PLCs, with a specific focus on Allen-Bradley controls, to ensure the smooth operation of our automation and material handling equipment.

    Responsibilities

    + Troubleshoot and repair metal stamping equipment and related manufacturing systems.

    + Conduct preventative maintenance on PLCs, robots, and supporting equipment.

    + Edit and program PLCs and robots, with expertise in Allen-Bradley controls.

    + Support production and operation needs by maintaining and developing automation and material handling equipment.

    + Maintain robotic, control, and safety systems, including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks.

    + Identify, maintain, and troubleshoot motor controls, such as motor starters, Variable Frequency Drives, and DC drives.

    + Assist in the mechanical maintenance of equipment as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 5 years experience with PLCs and troubleshooting.

    + Proficiency in Allen-Bradley controls.

    + Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems troubleshooting and repair.

    + Ability to read and comprehend electrical and hydraulic schematics.

    + Strong skills in troubleshooting industrial electrical systems, including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24VDC.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with punch presses, conveyors, sortation systems, and advanced automation controls systems.

    + Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

    Work Environment

    Work in an industrial setting with loud noises and heavy machinery alongside 3-5 other team members in the maintenance department. The environment is non-climate controlled and can be very hot. Choose from a variety of shift options, including a 4-day workweek or weekend shifts. Dress code includes steel-toed boots and jeans.

    This is a Permanent position based out of McKinney, TX.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
