Job Title: Manufacturing Technician

Job Description

The Graveyard Manufacturing Technician will be a crucial part of our team, responsible for operating, controlling, and monitoring heat treating furnaces and related equipment. This role involves preparing customer-supplied parts for processing, following written procedures, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

+ Operate, control, and monitor heat treating furnaces and related equipment.

+ Prepare customer-supplied parts for processing.

+ Follow written procedures on shop orders and/or customer paperwork.

+ Load and unload furnaces, bins, baskets, and fixtures.

+ Mask, paint, and/or sandblast customer-owned machined parts.

+ Report any irregularities or non-conformances to the supervisor.

+ Clean work areas, machines, and equipment.

+ Promote safety and good housekeeping.

Essential Skills

+ 2+ Years of Manufacturing Machine Operator experience.

+ 1+ Years of experience operating a forklift.

+ Mechanical aptitude and experience in general labor and material handling.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, climb, stoop, and stand regularly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a forklift operator certification.

+ Aptitude to learn basic knowledge of heat treating processes, testing, metallurgy, and temperatures.

+ Ability to report for work on time and follow directions.

+ Effectively interact with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism.

Work Environment

The work environment involves regular exposure to heat, dust, noise, and humidity. Candidates will work the graveyard shift from 8 pm to 6 am, Monday to Thursday, with two paid 30-minute lunch breaks. Training will be on the day shift for approximately 6-8 weeks before transitioning to the graveyard shift. Expect a 4/10 schedule, providing 3-day weekends.

This is a Contract position based out of Hayward, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
