Job Title: General Laborer

Job Description

Join a dynamic production company in a full-time outdoor position where you will be part of a team that processes wrecked vehicles. Your role will involve preparing these vehicles for shipment to third-party customers, ensuring they meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

+ Open doors, hood, and trunk of vehicles, using hand tools if necessary.

+ Remove license plates from vehicles.

+ Utilize a Jump Box to power the odometer and test car functionality.

+ Clean out trash, separating personal belongings and placing them accordingly.

+ Operate a shop vacuum if required to clean the vehicle.

+ Test the seals of windows and doors as needed.

+ Take detailed pictures and answer questions about the vehicle, showcasing attention to detail.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency with tools related to cleaning, garage, and automotive tasks.

+ Experience in general laborer duties and construction.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Must be able to work outside year-round, in all weather conditions.

+ Flexibility to handle multiple tasks.

Work Environment

Work hours are from 8:00am to 5:00pm with breaks at 9:00am and 3:00pm, and a lunch break from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. Weekly safety meetings occur every Thursday at 7:30am. The role requires working outdoors year-round, facing varied weather conditions. Employees are expected to provide their own cold and wet weather gear, while safety glasses and gloves are supplied. The dress code includes leather work boots, long pants, and a reflective vest. The work environment is team-oriented, with up to 20 employees, fostering a respectful and honest atmosphere.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of YORK HAVEN, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
