    Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor** **Job Description

     

    We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department during the 1st shift from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations, requiring coordination with Production and Mixing Managers to align daily, weekend, and holiday production schedules with adequate maintenance coverage.

    Responsibilities

    + Supervise the maintenance technicians, tool crib, utility department, automation technicians, and PM technicians.

    + Coordinate with Production and Mixing Managers for daily, weekend, and holiday production schedules.

    + Supervise required PM materials, ensuring documented supplies for major projects, periodic PM tasks, and daily activities.

    + Schedule vacations, training, and contingency for mechanical, crib, utility, and PM maintenance personnel.

    + Coordinate PM scheduling, completion, and required data entry duties such as daily tech log sheets and work order tracking.

    + Supervise various crib locations, including parts and satellite crib locations.

    + Reorder critical and specialty parts and supplies, specifying functionally equivalent replacement parts as needed.

    + Maintain accurate records of the equipment and systems' conditions in the building.

    + Evaluate production cells, processes, and ancillary equipment to improve uptime, changeovers, operation, and troubleshooting.

    + Cross-train maintenance staff to ensure adequate contingency manpower for daily, holiday, vacation, and emergency coverage.

    + Collaborate with Project Managers, Maintenance, and Management personnel to streamline project tasks.

    + Assist with specifications, required permits/approval agencies, and contractors to ensure the scope of work is met.

    Essential Skills

    + Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with production staff.

    + Professional interaction with suppliers, contractors, and inspectors.

    + A minimum of 5 years of experience in process and/or supervision in an industrial environment.

    + Self-starter, organized, and dedicated with good record-keeping skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience as a maintenance technician is advantageous.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $33.65/hr.
