    Summary

    Under general supervision, the Information Systems Engineer is responsible for coordinating projects with management, users, IST staff, and vendors. The Information Systems Engineer serves as a project leader, with overall responsibility for project implementation. Has overall responsibility for all information systems-related activities for specific client departments. Role includes continual analyses of departmental systems with a focus on adding value to all processes.

    Essential Functions

    • Design, deploy, and maintain Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud environments, including SSO configurations and deployment.

    • Configure and manage Microsoft Intune for device and application management.

    • Provide ongoing administration and support for Microsoft infrastructure.

    • Deploy and manage business-critical solutions on Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2019+ platforms.

    • Administer enterprise systems, including Active Directory, SQL Server, SharePoint, and third-party applications.

    • Deliver advanced (Tier 3) troubleshooting across a wide range of systems and network issues.

    • Analyze system operational and performance requirements and recommend/implement solutions to meet those requirements.

    • Specify system requirements for information systems to replace current business processes and improve management visibility.

    • Perform integration test, acceptance test, and delivery of software tools to end-users in accordance with IST development procedures.

    • Identify and manage risks to eliminate unplanned problems and minimize cost.

    • Keeps system users and IST Manager informed of progress and updates.

    • Document system configuration, software code, and end-user experiences.

    • Serves as a secondary information resource for client users, including determination of the most appropriate data source, providing or arranging application-based report writing, or educating users to retrieve the information for themselves.

    • Coordinates the inclusion of other staff and technical resources as necessary.

     

    Travel

     

    CymSTAR maintains multiple office locations in the Tulsa and Broken Arrow area. Our workforce is spread between the two buildings, and hands-on support may require driving to the applicable building to render that assistance. The employee must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel between buildings as needed.

     

    CymSTAR maintains service locations across the United States, and abroad. While remote hands are nearly exclusively utilized to perform work at these locations, there is a possibility that one or more team members may need to visit a remote site.

     

    Travel may be required to attend conferences and training to improve job performance. These are largely elective and will be scheduled at the discretion of the manager.

    Expected Hours of Work

    A standard 40-hour workweek, Monday to Friday. Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet project deadlines and client requirements.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    Technical supervision. No administrative supervision responsibilities.

     

    Education and/or Experience

     

    At least 3 years of progressively responsible experience with Microsoft cloud technologies, such as Azure, Active Directory, Intune, SharePoint, Teams, and RDS.

     

    Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms, azure resource management and container management

     

    Solid understanding of networking concepts, including switching, routing, and firewalls.

     

    Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco ISE switching and Veeam backup solutions is highly desirable.

     

    Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    Additional requirements such as certifications, industry-specific experience and experience working with certain equipment.
