Pool attendants are the front face of our pool operation and report to the Food & Beverage Manager\.PoolAttendantsare passionate about providing the highest levels of guest serviceand take pride in creatingseamless and memorable pool experiences\.Pool Attendantswarmly welcomeguests,ownersand members asthey arrive tothe pool deck,provideanoverview andorientation of facilities,assistancewith seating arrangementsandset up sun loungersand cabanaswith towelsand amenities asrequired, andare responsible forbreaking down and closing the pool deck daily\.Theyare responsible forensuring the highest level of personal accommodations at the pool deck and willrespond to all interactions in an efficient,courteousand professional mannerthat will achievemaximumcustomer engagement andcomply withall Waldorf Astoria policies and procedures\.

Pool attendants will:

Setup and break down pooldeck, side stationsand host stand daily

Have an eye for detailandanticipateguests needs

Provide guests with water andcoordinatedaily amenityserviceincluding but not limited tocoolservice,sunscreen,spritzing,food & beverage offerings, and sunglass cleaning\.

Possess knowledge of food,beverageand cocktailmenu items as well as informationregardingpreparation methods

Assistwith the summer recreation program

Poolattendantsmayassistwithfood & beverageresponsibilities and duties in the absence ofpool serversor due to heavy volumewhen needed

Escort guests where and whenever possible

Clean andmaintainpool area continuously\. Pickup and drop off linens to/from housekeeping

Ensure adequate supply of linen and amenities

Havegood personal presentation and interpersonal skills, anoutgoingpersonalityand a can\-do approach to any task

Have aflexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts,weekendsand holidays

Anticipate guest needs,ascertainsatisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guestconcerns and requests

Ensure safety and security is regulated and adhered to by guests, owners,membersand team members

Possessgood communicationskills

Answer telephones according toWaldorf Astoria standards

Ensure cleanliness of pool house restrooms

Maintain a clean,neatand organized workenvironment

Work harmoniously and professionally with co\-workers, supervisors, and outside contacts

PossessCPR/First Aid skills/certification

Mayassistwith set\-up and breakdown of banquet events

Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by management\.

Experience:

Previous customer service experienceisrequired, preferably in a luxury environment\.

Skills & Abilities:

Customer service oriented, attention to detail, ability tomaintainan organized workspace,maintainprofessionalism and composure in a high\-paced, high\-volume environment\.
