Description
Astronics AES in Kirkland, WA is hiring a Repair Station Assembler on First Shift. Hours are Monday - Thursday, 5:30 am - 4:00 pm.
JOB SUMMARY
This is a flex role with the ability to work across multiple cells. The Repair Station Assembler performs advanced soldering and rework assignments, and they may train other Repair Station Assemblers in processes and practices.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Repair Station Assembler is an experienced and proficient Assembler with the ability to perform the following:
+ Perform a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies.
+ Perform repetitive duties in a single piece flow mixed model cell.
+ Must have ability to perform each assembly operation.
+ Determine and/or follow methods and sequence of operations in performing component installation and fitting on assembly units.
+ Ability to use a variety of hand tools, including torque drivers.
+ Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to work instructions.
+ May perform additional skills such as soldering.
+ May work on other cells to perform basic assembly tasks as needed.
Per the Code of Federal Regulations (48 CFR - 252.223-7004 - Drug-free work force), this is a safety sensitive position subject to random drug tests.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ Demonstrates familiarity (typically 1-3 years of direct experience in the essential functions of the position)
Technical Skills:
+ Electronic mail software
+ Enterprise resource planning ERP software
+ ESD, FOD, ERS and Uniform Torqueing Certification

+ **Finger Dexterity** - Make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
+ **Time Management** - Managing one's own time and the time of others.
Work Environment:
+ Indoors, environmentally controlled Manufacturing environment.
+ Production demand may have times of increased time pressure.
+ Must use required PPE.
+ May involve long periods of sitting.
+ May involve repetitive motions.
+ Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. as needed, with totes, etc.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
+ As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible.
+ An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment background screen and drug test which includes screening for the use of cannabis.
Salary is $20.12 - $27.22 per hour dependant on experience.
