Job Description:
The Plant Manager has full responsibility for leading and optimizing the day-to-day operations of a single manufacturing facility. This role is accountable for safely achieving short- and mid-term operational, financial, quality, and delivery objectives aligned with the business plan. The Plant Manager leads a complex, high-mix steel stamping operation utilizing advanced automated equipment and oversees manufacturing, maintenance, quality, engineering, supply chain, and logistics. This leader establishes operating rhythms, production plans, and resource strategies that maximize throughput and efficiency, while developing and coaching salaried and hourly teams and fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Primary Responsibilities
Leadership
+ Lead, direct, and manage all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility to meet and exceed safety, quality, productivity, on-time delivery, and inventory objectives.
+ Lead a safety-first culture through visible leadership, accountability, and disciplined safe-work practices that drive a zero-incident mindset.
+ Foster, communicate, and exemplify ITW’s values by acting with integrity and trust, operating with simplicity, treating everyone with respect, and taking shared risk.
+ Deliver strong customer-facing metrics to achieve in-full, on-time delivery, high quality, and competitive lead times.
Strategic Planning
+ Actively analyze key performance indicators and drive operational and financial performance through focused application of ITW’s 80/20, PLS, In-Lining, MRD, and continuous improvement disciplines.
+ Using an aggressive growth mindset, implement strategic initiatives driven by the Division, aligning team-based processes to drive operational performance and continuous improvement.
+ Analyze and manage the facility’s financial performance, implementing policies and procedures that support and drive the Annual Plan and Long-Range Plan.
+ Set and achieve objectives in safety, quality, and production, including the formulation of short- and long-term plans that may encompass budget and capital requests.
+ Actively analyze productivity and capacity utilization, including outside processing.

+ Recruit, develop, and retain a diverse and high-performing team.
+ Establish clear communication and operating rhythms that keep employees informed, aligned, and engaged in delivering safety, quality, and performance results.
+ Develop a strong talent pipeline by building bench strength through targeted hiring and development of current team members.
+ Accelerate high-potential talent and identify and fast-track employees through focused development plans.

Job Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
+ 10+ years of progressive manufacturing and operations leadership experience, including full-site responsibility for multi-shift production, safety, quality, supply chain, and delivery performance.
+ Strong understanding of 80/20 principles and their application in manufacturing environments, with a demonstrated track record of driving operational improvements, customer-backed innovation, and/or new product introductions.
+ Proven financial acumen with the ability to manage a site P&L, understand key financial levers, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver profitable growth and operating targets.
+ Demonstrated role model of ITW culture, including hands-on leadership, teamwork, a positive and growth-oriented mindset, accountability, and initiative.
+ Ability to make strategic decisions that drive organic growth while maintaining strong operational discipline and cost control.
+ Influential leader who achieves results through collaboration, trust, and personal credibility rather than positional authority.
+ Results-oriented leader with a strong bias for action, capable of setting a clear vision and engaging teams to execute against it.

Compensation Information:
_“The salary for this role is $125,000.00 - $155,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.”_
