Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our quality and compliance team at an established food manufacturing and distribution company. This role will be instrumental in ensuring all product labeling, nutritional information, and regulatory documentation meet federal standards and industry requirements.
**Hours** : M-F 12-8pm with OT and weekends as needed
**Type** : Direct-hire
**Location** : Pomona, CA
**Compensation** : $31-$36/hour
Primary Responsibilities
+ Develop and review nutritional fact panels, ingredient declarations, and product specifications to ensure adherence to FDA and OSHA regulatory requirements.
+ Maintain comprehensive supplier documentation related to raw materials, ingredients, and regulatory compliance records.
+ Manage and execute documentation protocols for specialized product designations including Kosher certification, allergen declarations, GMO status, and Organic qualifications.
+ Create and update product labels and packaging materials using nutritional labeling software systems.
+ Support the overall regulatory affairs program through meticulous record-keeping and process adherence.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree required.
+ 5-8 years of hands-on experience in regulatory affairs within the food or nutraceutical manufacturing sector.
+ Demonstrated experience with nutritional labeling software systems (Genesis or equivalent platforms strongly preferred).
+ Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles.
+ Exceptional attention to detail with ability to identify compliance gaps and discrepancies.
