    Low Voltage Cabling Technician – New York City

    Job Overview

    We are seeking an experienced Low Voltage Cabling Technician to support commercial cabling projects throughout New York City. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CAT5/CAT6 cabling, terminations, testing, and installation of supporting infrastructure.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Pull, route, terminate, and label CAT5/CAT6 network cabling

    + Perform terminations on patch panels, jacks, and RJ45 connectors

    + Test and certify installed cables in accordance with industry and company standards

    + Install various cable support structures including:

    + Cable racks

    + J‑hooks

    + Innerduct

    + Ladder racks

    + Related pathways and hardware

    + Read and interpret cabling layouts, floor plans, and documentation

    + Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments on job sites

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    + 1–3+ years of structured cabling or low-voltage installation experience

    + Strong understanding of CAT5/CAT6 network cabling

    + Ability to perform copper terminations and cable testing

    + Experience working in commercial environments (offices, data centers, construction sites)

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders/scissor lifts as needed

    + Reliable transportation to travel to NYC job sites

    + Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience with additional low-voltage systems (security, access control, CCTV, fiber)

    + Familiarity with Fluke or similar cable certification tools

    + OSHA 10/30 and SST

    This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
