    Overview:

    Terracon is offering exciting opportunities for students interested in gaining hands-on experience in consulting engineering. This position will conduct field and laboratory testing of concrete, soil, asphalt, and aggregates.

     

    + The internship program runs from May – August 2026

    + Opportunity to work throughout the school year as well

    Majors Considered:

    Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related fields

    What You’ll Do:

    + Work alongside experienced engineers and technicians in the field and lab

    + Participate in real-world projects and client interactions

    + Learn technical skills including sampling, testing, data analysis, and report writing

    Key Learning Areas:

    + Field and lab safety practices

    + ASTM, DOT, COE testing procedures

    + Proposal and report development

    + Project management fundamentals

    + Quality management systems

    + Client communication and consulting best practices

    Qualifications:

    + Currently pursuing a BS in a relevant engineering or science discipline

    + Strong interest in consulting and fieldwork

    + Eagerness to learn and collaborate
